Fun, hands-on activity for teaching 1 more and 1 less than numbers to 5, 10, 15 and 20.  Teach children to search for 1 more than a number, 1 less than a number or both with this alien-themed activity!  Perfect for different levels of ability.
 
This activity can be used for whole-class instruction, as a guided group activity or in your continuous provision. Just print and laminate the charts.  To make the Show Me windows, laminate and cut around the frame, cut out the square/rectangular box in the middle and then place over a chart to search for numbers!  Alternatively, you could use the black and white versions of the charts as ‘number search’ printables.
